wine alternatives

Many nights when I’m out, I do not want to drink alcohol for many reasons: waking up early the next day, having to drive home, etc.  One of the top recommended non-alcoholic drinks for parties is White Jasmine Sparkling Tea from Golden Star. It’s fizzy and fresh, just like drinking champagne.

Golden Star White Jasmine Sparkling Tea can be found in Whole Foods Markets across California and other select markets in the Bay Area, LA, NYC and Las Vegas. The suggested retail price is $12.95-$15.95.

Another non-alcoholic drink I can’t wait to try is 12 Noon to Midnight.

12 Noon to Midnight is a company started by two chefs who wanted something non-alcoholic yet food-friendly to serve to their guests. Like this Golden Star White Jasmine Tea, this beverage is based on tea, with some fruit juices added as well.

There are two flavors, one a peachy white, and another a sparkling dark pink.  The reviews said both are light and refreshing — not too sweet, and each flavor has only about 60 calories per 8 ounce glass, which is less than half the calories of wine. 12 Noon to Midnight can be bought at Foodzie, Whole Foods, and Wegman’s for about $75 per case of 12.
